Currently seeking a Senior Product Manager to be the Brand Lead for one of their hospital products used in the perioperative setting and in acute severe hypertension.  This is an inline brand.


  • 4+ years pharma/biotech US focused HCP marketing experience, including experience developing and executing strategic plans for in-market or launch products
  • Ability to multi-task while maintaining high attention to detail and responding to rapidly changing priorities and aggressive deadlines
  • Exposure to digital marketing tactics
  • Sense of ownership (you will own the brand)
  • Self-directed, self-starter with strong business acumen, analytical skills and strategic thinking
  • Creative, outside the box thinker and problem solver
  • Hospital product experience is a plus
  • North Carolina OR REMOTE!! (Travel to office as needed)

The Senior Product Manager oversees the marketing for the product a dihydropyridine calcium channel blocker for blood pressure reduction in the perioperative setting and in acute severe hypertension cases. This proactive ownership of the brand includes key responsibilities such as maintaining a strategic view of relevant market/therapeutic dynamics that impact the product, developing and communicating actionable Commercial plans that align these dynamics with company objectives, and driving the implementation of these plans, which often includes cross-functional and inter-agency involvement. Maintaining a strong orientation towards the needs of customers is vital.

Main Responsibilities

Strategic Thinking

  • Develop and grow expertise in relevant market/therapeutic dynamics to enable understanding of existing opportunities and threats through both data-driven and customer-derived insights 
  • Foster candid and productive relationships with customers, to include KOLs, product champions and relevant patient advocacy groups to ensure close alignment with customer’s needs 

Commercial Plan Development and Implementation Support

  • Lead the development and delivery of an annual cross-functional brand plan 
  • Partner with key field-based and HQ-based colleagues to ensure their understanding and alignment with critical success factors associated with brand plan
  • Direct and manage the creation of tactics for both personal and non-personal promotion with omni-channel marketing capabilities 
  • For all applicable tactics, establish KPIs, monitor and control for performance, and redirect resources as needed in order to achieve expected objectives
  • Full ownership of brand P&L

Planning and Executing

  • Effectively manage multiple agency partners to produce high-quality deliverables within timelines and allocated budget
  • Gain approval for marketing materials through internal review process
  • Manage large-scale departmental or cross-departmental projects (as assigned)

Analytical Thinking and Communication

  • Leverage in-house assets to include databases and Business Knowledge colleagues to generate market, brand, and customer analytics
  • Generate and deliver impactful presentations that share key findings for internal forums to include C-suite presentations and national/regional Sales meetings
  • Communicate effectively within the organization to ensure the motivation and alignment of all key stakeholders to achieve product objectives

Personal Development

  • Partner with manager to develop and execute personal development plan
  • Attend/complete educational programs to enhance skills and knowledge in designated areas
  • Proactively identify opportunities for improvement related to Marketing procedures and partners

 Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA a plus
  • Minimum 4 years of pharma/biotech US focused HCP marketing experience, including experience in developing and executing strategic plans for in-market or launch products/services
  • Able to successfully manage multiple tasks and multifunctional resources concurrently while maintaining high attention to detail and responding to rapidly changing priorities and aggressive deadlines
  • Exposure to digital marketing tactics
  • Self-directed with ability to build team work on shared projects and goals
  • Strong business acumen, project management and analytical thinking skills
  • Sense of ownership as you will own the brand
  • Demonstrated initiative, creativity and strategic relationship building
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, communicate, and implement successful strategic initiatives
  • Hospital product experience is a plus
  • Pharma sales experience is a plus
