This Director of Pharmacy will oversee all aspects of the pharmacy department including dispensing, drug distribution, medication management, regulatory compliance, budget management, and staff management. The successful candidate will have strong leadership skills, a thorough understanding of pharmacy operations, and excellent communication skills.

 

This person would report to the Chief Nursing Officer, who has been a nurse for 18 years and has been in leadership for seven years. She is looking to hire someone who can engage the staff, lead the hospital P&T committees, and ensure that the information systems are up to date.

 

Requirements: 

• B.S. or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited institution
• At least 3 years of experience in hospital pharmacy management, at least five years experience in the pharmacy.
• Knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations related to pharmacy operations
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement policies and procedures related to pharmacy operations
• Experience with budget management and financial analysis
• Knowledge of pharmacy automation systems and technology
