My client, a small biopharmaceutical company based in North Carolina, is focused on the development and commercialization of products that address unmet patient needs. They are deeply passionate and committed to the discovery, engineering, and development required to bring novel therapies to patients who need them most and to the healthcare providers who care for them.
Their current drive is toward improving the treatment of pulmonary hypertension. They will continue to combine their proprietary technology with new and established medications, offering the potential for both better precision and improved clinical outcomes.

Currently seeking a Vice President Human Resources to join their growing team.
YOU:
- 12+ years of Human Resources experience, with at least 8 years in a leadership role
- A desire and willingness to roll up your sleeves and get your hands dirty
- Executive level presence required as you will be interacting with the Board and the rest of the Leadership Team regularly
- Strong knowledge and experience in HR practices, policies and programs, including talent management, compensation and benefits, employee relations and HR analytics
- Ability to navigate complex and sensitive situations with discretion and diplomacy
- Strong business acumen and the ability to partner with business leaders to drive results
- Experience working in a pharmaceutical company is a plus but NOT REQUIRED
- Experience working in a small to mid-size public company is a plus

Seeking a highly experienced Vice President of HR to lead the Human Resources function. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing HR strategies, policies, and programs that support our business objectives and promote a culture of excellence, innovation, and collaboration. As a member of our executive team, the VP of HR will play a critical role in shaping our organization’s direction and success.
RESPONSIBILITES:
- Develop and execute HR strategies, policies, and programs that align with our business objectives, support our culture, and enhance our competitive advantage
- Partner with business leaders to identify and address talent-related needs and opportunities, including talent acquisition, talent management, and organizational design
- Lead the development and implementation of talent management initiatives, including performance management, leadership development, succession planning, and employee engagement programs
- Oversee the design and implementation of compensation and benefits programs that attract, retain, and motivate top talent
- Drive the development and implementation of HR policies and practices that comply with applicable laws and regulations and promote a diverse and inclusive workplace
- Lead the development and execution of change management initiatives to support business transformations and organizational change
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including the board, the leadership team, employees, managers, and vendors
- Provide strategic direction and guidance to the HR team and ensure the delivery of high-quality HR services and programs
- Manage the HR budget and resources to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of HR services and programs
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, business administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in HR, with at least 8 years in a leadership role
- Experience working in the pharmaceutical industry a strong plus
- Experience working with sales teams preferred
- Must be willing to roll up your sleeves and get your hands dirty, while wearing multiple hats
- Executive level presence to engage with the Board as well as the Leadership Team
- Strong knowledge of HR practices, policies, and programs, including talent management, compensation and benefits, employee relations, and HR analytics
- Experience leading and managing HR teams in a complex environment
- Strong business acumen and the ability to partner with business leaders to drive results
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
- Ability to navigate complex and sensitive situations with discretion and diplomacy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of HR practices and regulations
