Director of Supply Chain

This system is part of a much larger parent company with over thirty hospitals nationwide! This system includes several Academic Medical Centers, over 4,000 licensed beds, and $4 Billion dollars in revenue. They are looking for a Director of Supply Chain for their 280+ bed flagship hospital in their Central New Mexico Market.

 

This person will be responsible for directing the administrative, strategic and operational aspects of materials management acquisition, distribution and services for the hospital. They are looking for a strong supply chain leader who has healthcare experience and is strong with inventory management, perpetual inventory, and maintaining low variance levels.

 

They will also have a hand in analytical reporting to forecast the purchasing decisions of the hospital. This takes a keen eye and someone knowledgeable to investigate supply cost variances and budgets to ensure the financial viability of the hospital.

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Finance, Accounting, Logistics, Supply Chain or healthcare-related focus strongly preferred
  • Experience:
    • 5 years of experience in hospital supply chain/Materials Management
    • 2+ years of experience of progressive management experience in Supply Chain/Materials Management
    • Experience with purchasing principles, systems, A/P, contract administration, contract laws, freight and hospital equipment and supplies.
