Currently seeking an Associate Director, US HCP & Patient Marketing – Rare Disease. This position will have an emphasis on Disease Awareness.



  • 7+ years pharmaceutical industry experience
  • 3+ years of US focused HCP pharma marketing experience
  • Solid Disease Awareness / Disease State Education experience
  • Strong scientific/clinical acumen
  • Plusses: Omni-channel marketing, hospital experience, nephrology experience, POAs, National Sales meetings, rare disease or specialty products (strong plus)
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of time
  • Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
  • Position based out of Boston office (In office up to 3 days/week, home up to 2 days/week)

The Associate Director, US HCP & Patient Marketing – Rare Disease is a member of the commercial US Marketing team. The position will play a critical role working with the Sr. Director, Marketing for the brand, to develop strategy and implement tactics to maximize disease awareness and brand potential.



  • Leading HCP marketing tactical plan development, aligning to brand strategic plan, in collaboration with cross functional teams
  • Being a key partner on omni-channel tactical plan development & execution for HCP communications
  • Leading development of promotional materials to support execution of brand and disease messages to HCP
  • Cultivating strong collaborative relationships with cross functional partners including field sales, TLLs, training, Patient Services, Market Research, Business Ops, Promotional Review Committee, Medical, Regulatory, Legal, and Compliance
  • Collaborating with sales teams to identify best practices and uncover needs/ trends and build relationships to improve consistency of brand strategy execution
  • Developing and executing workshops at National POA, Regional Meetings, & ad hoc events
  • Tracking and monitoring key performance indicators
  • Strong budget management including ROI metric assessment


  • Bachelor’s Degree required; Advanced degree, preferred (MS, PhD, or MBA)
  • 7+ years pharmaceutical industry experience
  • 3+ years of Commercial marketing or strategic marketing experience required; 5+ years of Commercial marketing, strategic marketing, or marketing leadership experience, preferred
  • Rare disease or specialty marketing experience preferred
  • Strong experience in Disease awareness, preferred
  • Strong ability to learn and display scientific and business acumen
  • Experience developing marketing strategies and tactics, with a focus on solid implementation of tactics through a combination of individual and team efforts
  • Experience and proven track record of developing and implementing impactful digital campaigns and initiatives
  • Experience in managing external agencies and/or vendors on a day-to-day basis and budget management
  • Experience in the hospital setting, nephrology and/or hematology, preferred
  • Diverse commercial experience, preferred (i.e., field sales, operations, global marketing)
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of time
