Brand Manager: 

My client, a small, privately owned pharmaceutical company located in Central NJ, takes care of people and their health problems in full respect of ethical values and strive for a better world. It is a sound group, in step with times, with a successful past behind it and great future ahead.

It is a vast constellation that ensures this company has the people and the resources to produce and distribute medicines for a broad variety of therapeutic areas ranging from prescription medicines to self-medication, many of which are the outcome of research begun in the early 1960’s.

I am currently working on a Brand Manager role.  This person will have brand ownership (all aspects) on two branded RX products, as well as a launch product.  You will have a lot of autonomy and will report to great manager who will grow and mentor you.  The company will move quickly. 

YOU:

  • 3+ years US focused pharmaceutical marketing experience (will consider all channels of pharma marketing – HCP, consumer, or payer, as well as agency pharma marketers)
  • Ability to roll up your sleeves and get your hands dirty
  • With full brand ownership, you will be developing brand strategy AND executing against it
  • Experience with personal AND non-personal promotion a plus
  • Experience managing complex projects
  • Previous pharmaceutical or medical foods sales experience a plus
  • Launch experience is a plus
  • Start-up mentality, high energy, passion, collaborative
  • 10% - 20% of estimated travel
  • Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship 
  • No relocation except possible $5k lump sum ideal for renter 

 

TITLE:  Brand Manager

LOCATION: Central, NJ                         

REPORTS TO: Director of Marketing

RELO:  Yes (Lump sum – best for renter) 

The Brand Managers at this company have full marketing responsibilities for specific products and customer offerings within the company portfolio – which includes leading prescription medical foods in the GI and CNS therapeutic areas. These roles are designed for individuals who thrive on working in small, nimble organizations and being able to directly impact the business through a winning combination of collaboration, astute marketing strategy and flawless tactical execution. 

This Brand Manager would be responsible for our New Product Launch and Established Brands.  The Brand Manager will be accountable for the planning and success of the company current and future products in Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy, Cognitive Impairment, and other therapeutic areas.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Strategic Planning – In concert with market research, other brand managers and sales, consolidates category insights and translates them into a compelling and actionable Brand Plan.
  • Personal Promotion – Leads development of the personal promotion plan for customers that includes messaging, creative, iPad sales aids, sell sheets, leave behinds, sample kits, and other materials
  • Non-Personal Promotion – Leads development of innovative non-personal strategies to reach customers to maximize marketing impact. This includes websites, SEO/SEM, CRM programs, print and digital advertisements
  • Vendor/Agency Management – Manages marketing relationships with agencies, vendor partners, manufacturers, consultants, and other third-party groups
  • Budget & Financial –understands and manages the marketing expense budget. Works cross-functionally and collaboratively with marketing colleagues, sales, finance, and other departments to manage brand budgets effectively
  • Project Management/Integration – Organizes people, activities, communication & resources around a common goal to achieve business objectives in a timely manner
  • Tracking & Metrics - Tracks Brand promotion investments and partners with appropriate personnel to collect and analyze ROI to better inform future spend
  • Cross Functional Partnering - Partners with MLR team to facilitate the review and approval of marketing assets 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred
  • 3+ years US focused pharmaceutical marketing experience (client side or Agency)
  • Experience developing a brand strategy and executing against it
  • Experience managing complex projects
  • Ability to work autonomously, entrepreneurial, high energy
  • Previous pharmaceutical or medical foods sales experience a plus
  • Previous product launch experience a plus
  • Previous experience in central nervous system therapeutic a plus
  • Must exhibit high capability at working collaboratively, thinking strategically
  • 10% - 20% of estimated travel
  • Must be authorized to work for any employer in the US without sponsorship
