My client, a small fully integrated biopharmaceutical company based in Westchester County, New York discovers, invents, develops, manufactures and commercializes medicines. TITLE:    Senior Manager, Market Research

LOCATION: Westchester County, New York                                               

REPORTS TO:  Director of Market Research

The Senior Manager, Market Research will execute, analyze, and present findings of studies that assess marketplace and stakeholder dynamics and needs, as well as opportunities for the company to deliver valuable products and services. This position requires a broad understanding of secondary and syndicated data assets and their application to market research activities. This individual will develop a solid knowledge of immunology and inflammation disease segments, as well as the broader biologics marketplace, by monitoring the competitive environment, assessing performance, potential opportunities, and threats, and integrating insights across studies to support sound planning and execution.



  • Close collaboration with brand management, new products planning, patient advocacy, commercial finance, commercial analytics, market access, and public relations teams in support of the brand strategy and tactical plan
  • Translation of business questions into concise, focused market research objectives and studies that align with clear and specific deliverables
  • Evaluation, selection, and management of vendor partners to execute and deliver on study objectives, ensuring compliance with all state, federal, and regulatory policies.
  • In-depth analysis and integration of research findings into valued insights, presented to key internal stakeholders and senior leadership
  • Active monitoring and reporting of project financials and contribution to development of short- and long-term budget planning, in collaboration with commercial finance and procurement/sourcing colleagues



  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 8+ years of Pharmaceutical/biotechnology market research experience across the core market research disciplines, including design and analysis of primary market research, secondary data analysis, vendor partner management, and direct oversight of project financials required
  • Diverse experience conducting research among healthcare professional, patient, consumer, caregiver, payer, and other stakeholder audiences in a healthcare, pharmaceutical, and/or biotechnology setting. Strong knowledge of secondary/syndicated data assets and ability to utilize these tools to inform decision efforts
  • Demonstrated experience in executing market research initiatives in support of US promotional campaign development and testing, patient and caregiver educational materials development and refinement, and exploration of new products and services to support access, in both traditional and non-traditional channels
  • Pharmaceutical/biotechnology market research experience required, within vendor partner and/or manufacturer settings
  • Proven ability to develop and manage analysis and reporting of key performance indicators based on a variety of secondary data sources
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including strong presentation skills, ability to build rapport and credibility, and ability to persuade and influence others with data driven insights
  • Results and solutions orientation, shared accountability and transparency, creative problem solving, and effective negotiation and prioritization skills
  • Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously and delivering high quality business results within tight timelines
