Engagement Manager – Payer Focused (Vendor Side):

My client, a small but leading pharmaceutical and medical device global marketing research and strategy consulting firm, is located in the Greater Philadelphia Area.  They work with some of the world’s major Pharmaceutical companies and Biotech manufacturers. Currently seeking an Engagement Manager – Payer focused for this client.

 

YOU:

  • 3-5 years custom primary market research experience in life sciences, qual and quant
  • Some understanding and/or experience with the payer landscape
  • Experience writing proposals as well as reports
  • Client-facing experience
  • Solid project management, presentation and communication skills
  • Moderating experience is a plus
  • SPSS experience preferred
  • Ability to think strategically, yet roll up sleeves and tactically execute

TITLE:   Engagement Manager – Payer Focused

LOCATION:  Greater Philadelphia, PA Area

REPORTS TO:  Executive Director                                     

RELO:  NO RELO

 

The Engagement Manager – Payer Focused is responsible for designing, executing, analyzing, and reporting the results from qualitative and quantitative market research data.  This position encompasses 3 levels, dependent on task proficiency.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Initiating & Planning 40% of time

Execution, Monitoring & Controlling, and Close out 60% of time

  • Write effective proposals in conjunction with directors, including making recommendations on methodology and sample
  • Closely work with clients to understand market research objectives, and provide advice on appropriate design/methodology
  • Seeking input from relevant experts within the organization
  • Develop high quality study materials (screeners, surveys and discussion guides) to meet client objectives
  • Moderate qualitative and pre-test interviews
  • Oversee accurate preparation of materials prior to fielding (including accurate programming of online surveys)
  • Undertake/oversee data-checks/tab-checks
  • Develop analysis plans that will effectively answer client objectives.
  • Undertake appropriate analysis of data
    • Guide junior members in specific analyses
  • Develop and write high quality reports to meet client objectives, including well-conceived recommendations
  • Present findings with confidence
  • Work under guidance of directors to meet client objectives and produce high-quality materials and deliverables
  • Be the client lead for day-to-day communication, including providing clients with recommendations on alternative courses of action
  • Proactively manage projects to scope in conjunction with the Production team
    • Collaborate with others to resolve any difficulties
    • Alert other team members of any issues that may put these at risk
  • Delegate tasks as appropriate, while overseeing to ensure correct and high-quality outputs
  • Overseeing quality control/checks of all client deliverables
  • Participate in training and development of more junior staff
  • Participate in wider organizational initiatives through committees etc.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred
  • 3+ Years market research industry experience required; 5+ Years preferred; Healthcare market research experience preferred
  • Significant knowledge of US healthcare system
  • Experience conducting qualitative primary research with managed care organizations, pharmacy benefit managers, and hospital administrators
  • Basic skills in quantitative primary market research, multivariate statistical analyses, SPSS and Excel desirable
  • Willingness and ability to travel out-of-state/out-of-country, as required
