Our Client, a multi-site refiner and distributor of petroleum products, has an immediate opening for a Pipeline Integrity Engineer at one of its refineries in Texas.

Position Summary
The Integrity Engineer role is responsible for leading and coordinating pipeline integrity efforts for assigned pipelines and terminals.


  • Leading pipeline integrity efforts and programs for assigned pipeline systems including regulatory audit responsibilities.
  • Implementing the written Integrity Management Programs, as well as the standards and procedures to support the IMP for all pipeline assets.
  • Identifying additional preventive measures, determining the re-assessment interval and reassessment methods through participation in Informational Analysis process.
  • Providing Engineering support for Pipeline Integrity Projects including welding calculations, material selections, determination of required hydrostatic test pressures, MOP/MAOP calculations, calculation of set points for pumps, and other pressure control devices to ensure MOP/MAOP is not exceeded, evaluation of defects and recommended appropriate repairs.
  • Providing input to new construction pipelines and due diligence to support Pipeline Integrity efforts.
  • Incorporating newly operated assets into the IMP.
  • Complete performance measure.
  • Providing input and assistance in annual capital and operating budget.
  • Staying current with the pipeline regulations, industry standards, integrity assessment methods, repair methods, etc.
  • Monitor and maintain cathodic protection systems for pipeline and terminalling operations.
  • Administer company public awareness, drug testing and operator qualification programs.
  • Provide contractor oversight for Pipeline and Terminal Operations.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is preferred (Mechanical or Metallurgy).
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in pipeline engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience in pipeline design, operations, and maintenance, a detailed understanding of pipeline defect evaluations and repair.
  • Technical knowledge and work experience in pipeline risk management and analysis.
  • Excellent communication skills and computer skills including use of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Working knowledge of the various Federal and State pipeline regulations including Integrity Management regulations.
