Manager Commercial Data Management

I am currently seeking a Manager of Commercial Data Management for this company.

YOU:

TITLE:  Manager Commercial Data Management

LOCATION:   Western Boston, MA Suburb

REPORTS TO:   Sr. Director Commercial Data Management

DIRECT REPORTS:   No

The Commercial Data Management Manager will be the primary point of contact for the Commercial Analytics team, taking responsibility for reporting requirements, data mapping, and ad-hoc query delivery to support reporting initiatives, systems integration, and data-driven decision making. This role will “dig in” to business processes and data flows in company’s Commercial area. This position requires a well-developed understanding of the methods of database queries and of data analysis, particularly as they apply to the tracking of activity, i.e. calls, sales and results.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Partner with stakeholders on data acquisition needs, rules development, timelines, etc.
  • Manage the field data inquiry queue through investigation, analysis, and resolution
  • Maintain data integrity and ongoing quality control of data/delivered reports, as well as make suggestions on data representation
  • Partner closely across the CDM team and IT to prioritize requests and impact of proposed changes
  • Create ad-hoc and standard reports using various reporting tools for different functional areas of the company
  • Prepare detailed written methodologies and communications to various departments within the company
  • Partner with multiple data providers and external partners 

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3-5 years in Commercial Data Management experience or 5-7 years of other relevant experience such as Commercial Analytics, IT, Commercial Data Management, Field Operations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and abilities
  • Experience in data analysis and report design/development
  • Knowledge and experience with relational database concepts and query tools
  • Knowledge of SQL and data extraction methodologies
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Ability to interface with multiple users across the organization, commercial analytic teams in particular, and effectively project manage requirements from start to finish
  • Ability to work in a rapidly changing and growth-oriented environment with regularly changing priorities and developing opportunities
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills to allow for easy exchange with members of company
  • Experience with third party pharmaceutical syndicated data (IQVIA, Symphony, Decision Resources, etc.)
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, MS Project, Visio, SharePoint)

  • Compliance: Achieve and maintain Compliance with all applicable regulatory, legal and operational rules and procedures, by ensuring that all plans and activities for and on behalf of company are carried out with the "best" industry practices and the highest ethical standards
  • Mental/Physical Requirements: Fast paced environment handling multiple demands. Must be able to exercise appropriate judgment as necessary. Requires a high level of initiative and independence. Excellent written and oral communication skills required. Requires ability to use a computer for extended periods of time
