Our Client, a leading global supplier of specialty hydrocolloids and biopolymers, has an immediate opening for a Maintenance Mechanic at one of its sites near Tulsa Oklahoma.

Job Description

The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for the trouble-shooting and repair of the mechanical and electrical equipment throughout the site using personal decision-making to insure minimal disruption to the production process.  This department is scheduled to provide services to the production and research areas 7 days a week.  A Mechanic may be required to work in one or more plant areas, doing one or multiple assignments during any given work-shift.  Call-ins are a requirement of this position.  This position requires a high level of self-management, punctuality, good attendance, and the ability to adjust to a variety of assignments.


  • Minimum 2 years maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge in trouble-shooting and repair of mechanical and electrical equipment.
  • Some knowledge in types and uses of valves and the ability to change/repair and align pumps.
  • Deep expertise in precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and callipers to repair equipment; and operating a drill press, hydraulic press, pedestal grinder, mill equipment and lathes.
  • Familiar with reading and working from blueprints and/or single line drawings.
  • Basic welding skills to 150 psi certified with State of Oklahoma, or demonstrated machinist skills.


  • Experience with maintaining high speed rotating equipment, such as turbines and compressors.
  • Ability to align, troubleshoot, disassemble and rebuild production equipment such as reciprocating compressors.
