Parkwood is representing a 171-bed facility with a wide range of services including a Level III-A Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, an accredited heart and vascular program, and an Orthopedic and Total Joint Center in San Angelo, TX. Position Requirements:

 

RN license in the State of Texas

1-2 Years Experience in related field

  • BLS for Healthcare Providers through American Heart Association current upon hire and required throughout employment
  • PALS- is required within 6 months if Pediatrics is home department
  • NRP –is required within 3 months if Nursery/NICU is home department employment
  • ACLS- is required within 6 months if OB is home department
  • RNC preferred
  • STABLE preferred

 

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the care of ante partum, postpartum, medical and surgical female patients. The RN collaborates with other nurses, physicians, and allied health personnel to ensure efficient and effective work flow of their scheduled shift and a smooth transition to the next shift. The RN is expected to be able to perform the duties of unit secretary and nurse aide as defined in their respective job descriptions and participate in performance improvement activities. The Registered Nurse works closely with the Director, the charge Nurse, members of the Maternal/Child Tract, medical staff, as well as other professional staff, ancillary department members, visitors and families.
