Our Client, a global multi-site specialty chemical company, has an immediate opening for a Senior Process Engineer at one of its corporate sites in Louisiana.


Job Description

Our Client is currently seeking an experienced Process Engineer to work within their Process Engineering and Development group.  The Process Engineering and Development group develops and executes projects to materially improve existing processes at company manufacturing sites.  The group also develops and implements plant processes for new products.


Responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate with other engineers and stakeholders to complete detailed design packages for chemical processes
  • Perform process modeling to support design of new processes and troubleshooting of existing processes
  • Be a key member of commissioning and startup team for new project installations
  • Conduct work requiring independent judgment in the evaluation and modification of standard techniques, processes and criteria.
  • Report writing, presentations, project management, and potentially supervision responsibilities.



  • S. in Chemical Engineering or higher with minimum 5 years of chemical industry experience
  • Significant proven experience in process design
  • Process modeling experience in CHEMCAD or Aspen
  • Strong command of chemical engineering fundamentals and design principles
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple functions to develop a detailed design package
  • Strong team work and leadership skills
  • Initiative, creativity, and problem solving abilities
  • Excellent written, verbal, computer, and interpersonal skills
  • Desired Qualifications
  • Expertise and a desire to further technical expertise in a specific engineering area such as mixing, kinetics, separations, heat transfer, pressure safety relief valve and relief header sizing
  • Prior experience in CLEOPATRA  project estimating platform
  • Willingness to periodically travel for domestic and international project assignments.
