Manager/Senior Manager, Global Marketing - Rheumatology

 

My client, a small fully integrated biopharmaceutical company based in Westchester County, New York discovers, invents, develops, manufactures and commercializes medicines. If this sounds like the type of organization you would like to work for, keep reading. I am currently working on a Manager/Senior Manager, Global Marketing - Rheumatology for this client. The ideal candidate for this role will have the following:

                               

  • Must have HCP focused pharma marketing experience (client side experience required; cannot consider agency only experience)
  • Must have global marketing experience
  • Strongly prefer candidates that have experience working with alliance partners
  • Prefer candidates with experience in rheumatology, inflammation or similar therapeutic areas
  • Biologics experience preferred, but will consider if meet other requirements
  • Launch experience preferred
  • Must be willing to travel approximately 25-30% (including weekend travel as needed)
  • Must be willing to roll up your sleeves and get your hands dirty
  • Must be authorized to work for any employer in the US without sponsorship

 

TITLE:      Manager/Senior Manager, Global Marketing - Rheumatology

LOCATION:   Westchester County, NY

REPORTS TO:    Associate Director of Marketing - Inflammation

RELO:              Yes

 

The Sr. Manager/Manager, Global Marketing will have responsibility and accountability for supporting the development and implementation of a global HCP and patient strategies for assigned product, a fully human monoclonal antibody in development for the treatment of moderate to severe Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA). Primary responsibility is to lead and/or assist in the execution of key marketing projects and initiatives in concert with Alliance Partner.  This role will focus on Global commercial activities.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with Alliance Partner to develop and implement core HCP promotional materials that will be used by affiliates
  • Responsible for engagement with the national, regional, and local scientific meetings and congresses in alignment with brand strategies and objectives
  • Collaborate with Alliance Partner to develop and implement patient support programs and educational materials to be used by affiliates
  • Provide input to, and utilize findings from, market research studies dedicated to understanding needs of health care professionals and patients with respect to the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis
  • Track activities and spend to ensure project timelines and expenses are kept on scope and budget
  • Assist in the development and execution of a Global Brand Plan and tactics; provide input into the budget process for HCP and Global Consumer activities
  • Assist in managing and partnering with all Global agencies as appropriate
  • Ensure an effective and productive partnership with Alliance Partner in meeting brand objectives

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum of 7-8 years of "progressive" industry/relevant professional experience;3+ years of pharmaceutical/biotech marketing, product management, or related experience
  • Global marketing experience required
  • Strong communications & presentation skills required
  • Ability to lead and work effectively across multiple functions, stakeholders, and Alliance partners
  • Scientific acumen and the ability to interpret clinical data to support promotional objectives.
  • Results oriented, self-motivated
  • Ability to work in an evolving and dynamic environment/flexibility
  • Must be willing to travel approximately 25-30% (including weekend travel as needed)
  • Experience with product launch(es) helpful
  • Rheumatology and/or inflammation experience with injectable biologics preferred
  • Previous work within a co-promote or alliance is preferred
  • Previous sales experience a plus
  • Must be authorized to work for any employer in the US without sponsorship
