I am currently seeking 2 Field Service Engineers for this client for the San Francisco, CA Territory.  You will cover San Francisco, South San Francisco, and San Jose.  You should live within a 40 min response time from downtown.  Will also consider relo, but only ideal for renter, as a small lump sum.  Competitive base salary, plus bonus (paid quarterly!) and stock options!


Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience with more than one: robotics, mechanical, liquid handling and electronics (their products have all)
  • Experience with installation, maintenance and trouble shooting
  • Self-motivated problem-solver
  • Team-oriented
  • Live in San Francisco or open to relocation with minimal assistance
  • Authorization to work for any employer in the US without sponsorship


TITLE:   Field Service Engineer

LOCATION:  San Francisco, CA – Bay Area

REPORTS TO:  Manager of Field Service, North America                                        

RELO:  Minimal lump sum (ideal for renter)


To continue my client’s solid growth, they are currently seeking 2 highly motivated Field Service Engineers in the Bay Area.  This position will be part of our Field Service team and will work in a team environment expanding medical diagnosis and discovery. After the completion of 3 months of extensive training, you will install, repair and support customer base leading to exciting game-changing medical diagnostics.



  • Installation and repair of complex, highly sensitive blood analytics instrumentation
  • Partner with sales team to conduct and document pre-installation customer calls
  • Perform IQ/OQ requiring ability to perform basic assay and results verification
  • Coordinate preventive maintenance and field modifications on customer instruments
  • Develop, communicate and execute action plans satisfying customer issues
  • Operate with a consistent focus on customer satisfaction
  • Be available on-call as needed (generally 8am to 5pm)
  • Direct incoming customer calls to proper team members and follow up with customer
  • Train and answer customer inquiries concerning instrument use
  • Promote the company’s technology and products to customers and to the general industry


  • Field service professional with experience in IVD/Laboratory preferred
  • Associates in Electronics or prior military experience in technical arena
  • 3+ years successful field service experience
  • Located in the Bay Area
  • Demonstrated ability to take ownership of customer issues
  • Unique instrumentation demands a team first approach
  • Compliance with customer laboratory conduct and safety protocols
  • A+ certification
  • Ability to travel within territory with little or no advanced notice; approx. 20% travel outside of territory for training, corporate meetings, etc.
