My client, a fully integrated, global biopharmaceutical company located in a western Boston suburb, has a diversified commercial product portfolio and a substantial clinical pipeline of product candidates for chronic diseases in CNS.

I am currently seeking a Manager OR Associate Director HCP Marketing for this organization. This role will support the launch of a new product.

 

YOU:

  • 3-8+ years US focused pharmaceutical HCP marketing experience
  • Experience with speaker bureaus and speaker programs
  • Experience with working with KOL’s
  • CNS experience is a plus
  • Launch experience preferred, but not required
  • Highly collaborative
  • Ability to think strategically, yet roll up sleeves and tactically execute

 

TITLE:   Manager OR Associate Director HCP Marketing

To achieve the goals for the successful launch of a product, this company is expanding the Commercial Team with the creation of a new position, Manager/Associate Director of Marketing, with a focus on Healthcare Provider (HCP) engagement and education.  This unique position offers an ambitious and experienced candidate the opportunity to significantly contribute to the launch of a product by developing and implementing critical commercial strategies.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead commercial strategy and activities for HCP peer-to-peer education, including conferences and speaker programs
  • Work with Commercial Services to develop and manage Speaker’s Bureau
  • Lead development of branded and unbranded content for HCP speaker presentations
  • Develop speaker training programs and drive ongoing engagement with HCP speakers
  • Develop working relationships with Key Opinion Leaders in the field of depression
  • Implement advisory panel to support development of education materials
  • Support and drive commercial activities at key congresses and meetings
  • Lead approval process for promotional materials
  • Plan and implement yearly programs and budget for peer-to-peer education marketing
  • Manage key vendor and agency relationships

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelors degree in business/science required; advanced scientific degree or MBA preferred
  • A minimum of 3-8 years experience in pharmaceutical product marketing, combined with either new product planning, market research, or sales training. Title commensurate with experience
  • Pharmaceutical product launch experience
  • CNS experience is a plus
  • Understanding of the FDA promotional guidelines and approval process
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to forge focused business strategies with internal and external stakeholders
  • Significant analytic skills, able to clearly interpret and distill scientific, clinical and commercial information
  • Ability to effectively plan, prioritize, execute, follow up and anticipate problems
  • Ability to work across multiple functions (sales, finance, product development, public affairs, medical affairs)
  • Ability to anticipate challenges and defend positions with factual information
  • Ability to influence and gain consensus from peers and management
  • Strong writing and presentation skills
  • Understanding of industry code of conduct and ethics
  • Overnight travel ~15-20%
