Our Client, a multinational, multi-site producer of agricultural chemicals has an immediate need for an Instrumentation and Process Controls Engineer at one of its sites in Texas.


Job Description

The Instrumentation & Process Controls Engineer is responsible for engineering oversight, review and analysis of instrumentation and process control systems for our ammonia and urea plants. Responsibilities include:

  • Design of new or improved instrumentation and process control systems
  • Developing and managing the scope, schedule and budget for new or improved instrumentation and process control projects
  • Executing the Management of Change (MOC) process for instrumentation and process control systems
  • Creating Authorizations for Expenditures (AFE's)
  • Oversee the technical aspects of the DCS, BMS and SIS instrumentation systems
  • Analyze operability and reliability trends, providing feedback from instrumentation and control systems to identify areas for improvement Develop and execute projects to maintain, upgrade and improve the reliability of plant instrumentation and control systems


  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering - Electrical Engineering preferred
  • A minimum 5 years’ experience working in the instrumentation and process control field
  • Experience with instrumentation, electrical, and control systems
  • Experience working with safety instrumented systems
  • Industrial Plant experience is a must
  • Possess strong knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
