This hospital is a 73-bed, acute-care hospital serving the northern Collin County area since 2000. Hospital services include women’s care, a Level II neonatal intensive care unit, orthopedics, pediatrics, wound care and sleep medicine. The hospital is a Level IV trauma center and an Accredited Chest Pain Center by the Society of Chest Pain Centers, which makes our facility intensely qualified to serve our community and your professional aspirations.

 

Minimum Education Required: Associates Degree, BSN preferred.  Completion of BSN within 2 years of hire required.  

Minimum Licensure/Certifications Required: Current RN or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing.  AHA BCLS and ACLS current upon hire.  

Minimum Experience Required: One year as a clinical nurse, or completion of an RN residency program. Previous experience as a Cath Lab RN.  

Minimum Skills Required: A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.  Required knowledge and experience in the cath lab environment as an RN responsible for circulating, hemodynamic monitoring, and patient management.  Ability to work with minimal supervision.  Ability to make independent decisions while maintaining tact, maturity and a positive attitude.  Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.  

Preferred Skills: Interventional Radiology Experience 1-2 years Critical Care/ER Experience

Work Hours/Schedule: 40 hours per week M-F and rotating call schedule.  

Duties/Responsibilities:  Actively incorporates the Quality Caring Model into everyday nursing practice.  Exhibits teamwork by communicating and collaborating with all members of the care team.  Actively participates in shared governance at the unit, entity and system level.  Actively seeks opportunity for professional development.
