The Senior Training Manager, Account Management and Advanced SF (AM/ASF) training position will be responsible for the development, implementation and measurement of competency based training programs which effectively supports the training and development of the field-based Managed Markets Account Director (MMAD) team & the Corporate Account Director - Integrated Health Systems (CAD-IHS) team, as well as the Institutional Account Specialist teams. Additionally, this role will also support the Director, AM/ASF training in the development and execution of Advanced Training for all Therapeutic Specialists.



• Design, execution and measurement of short- and long-term advanced training programs for the Managed Markets team
• Design, execution and measurement of short- and long-term training programs for the Hospital Team(s)
• Design, execution and measurement of short- and long-term advanced training programs for the Therapeutic Specialist Team(s)
• Responsible for the execution of short- and long-term AM/ ASF training strategy and annual training plans, in alignment with commercial objectives
• Partners with internal key stakeholders and cross-functional teams to optimize relevance and effectiveness of training programs
• Conducts scheduled training needs & gap analysis and determine training priorities
• Stays current on the changing managed markets and payer landscape to ensure training addresses real-world issues
• Effectively collaborates across multiple project teams comprised of internal key stakeholders and external vendors
• Employs project management principles and structures to effectively deploy training solutions.
• Serves as subject matter expert in identifying suitable training solutions in response to emerging training needs
• Refines and continuously improves existing curriculum to align with evolving business priorities.
• Analyzes and evaluates the of all sales training solutions, including interactive instructor-led courses, self-instruction, online learning, job aids, and other performance-based training interventions, ensuring the best and most cost-effective training programs
• Effectively socializes training needs and frameworks by proactively engaging key stakeholders and commercial leaders for validation
• Demonstrates a strong commitment to continuous improvement with all training curricula
• Develops and implement appropriate pull-through plans to drive utilization and adoption of learning programs
• Develops and implements metrics-based measurement program to assess impact of training programs
• Responsible for the management of the allocated training budget for all investment related processes including program development, vendor selection and management, PO’s and SOW’s, and delivery, staffing, outsourcing, and other training-related costs
• Monitors trends within the advanced competency development field and adopt new approaches as appropriate
• Development and execution of short and long-term strategies to ensure the successful implementation of training curricula that is consistent with commercial objectives.
• Instill, reward, and facilitate culture of best practice sharing within the Market Access and IAS community
• Assist to annually benchmark Market Access and IAS capabilities against peer companies


• Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in business or life sciences), MBA preferred
• 10+ years pharmaceutical industry experience
• 2-3 years sales training experience
• Prior pharmaceutical sales experience
• Achieve and maintain Compliance with all applicable regulatory, legal and operational rules and procedures, by ensuring that all plans and activities for and on behalf of the company are carried out with the "best" industry practices and the highest ethical standards.
• Fast paced environment handling multiple demands. Must be able to exercise appropriate judgment as necessary. Requires a high level of initiative and independence. Excellent written and oral communication skills required. Requires ability to use a computer for extended periods of time.
