Senior Manager/Associate Director US HCP Marketing – Asthma Biologic:


My client, a small fully integrated biopharmaceutical company based in Westchester County, New York discovers, invents, develops, manufactures and commercializes medicines. This role will be focused on a new indication launch in the asthma space for an existing biologic product.  The ideal candidate for this role will have the following:

TITLE: Senior Manager/Associate Director US HCP Marketing – Asthma Biologic

LOCATION:  Westchester County, New York                                               

REPORTS TO: Director of Marketing

RELO:  Yes


The Senior Manager/Associate Director, HCP Marketing is responsible for professional promotion and relationship management for the launch of a product in the evolving and competitive respiratory marketplace in the U.S.



  • Develops professional relationships and contacts with external medical experts and leads influence mapping and development
  • Unbranded scientific message development
  • Develops and manages launch speaker bureau including training and content
  • Supports execution of Launch Meetings
  • Provide input to, and utilize findings from, market research studies dedicated to understanding needs of HCP’s
  • Work with field sales teams to understand needs of medical office specialists
  • Assists in the coordination of efforts with other field teams such as account management, access managers, and clinical educators
  • Create and maintain a field sales advisory board to provide ongoing feedback from the field to the U.S. marketing team
  • Coordinate with the field sales training team to insure integration of training on promotional materials and tactics
  • Evaluate the effectiveness, and opportunities to improve, promotional tactics and programs utilized by the field sales team
  • Serves as POA captain, responsible for POA development and execution
  • Operational:
    • Assist in planning & participation in relevant Brand Team Meetings with Alliance Partner
    • Key member of the Go-To-Market work stream meetings
    • Ensures that the marketing processes, programs, and internal reports are developed, implemented, and effectively administered to be consistent with corporate guidance and all regulatory, legal, ethical guidelines
  • Reimbursement and Access:
    • Working with Market Access and HEOR, leverage differentiation strategies to develop a compelling value proposition to secure appropriate market access
    • Understands reimbursement environment including specific utilization management criteria (UM) likely to be used by payers to restrict access to the product
    • Work with cross-functional team to provide justification for the product use
    • Interact across all levels of the organization to clearly articulate brand vision and strategies, including to Senior Executives



  • Bachelors Degree required
  • 8+ years of "progressive" industry/relevant professional experience; 5+ years of pharmaceutical/biotech marketing or related experience
  • Launch experience required
  • Alliance experience strongly preferred
  • Respiratory experience strongly preferred
  • Ability to deal with all levels of the organization
  • Strong interpersonal skills both internally & externally
  • Must be willing to travel approximately 20 – 30% and willing to travel on weekends to conferences and meetings, as needed
  • Presentation skills and the ability to listen and communicate to a wide variety of scientific and commercially oriented individuals
  • Combines strategic thinking with strong implementation skills
  • Ability to affect results by maneuvering through appropriate formal and informal organizational channels
  • Strong project, process and decision-making skills
  • Must be proactive and operate with minimal direction
  • Must be able to operate in high paced launch environment
  • Demonstrated problem solving ability
  • Strong scientific acumen
  • Respiratory experience preferred
  • Biologic/self-injectable experience preferred
