Parkwood is proud to represent a 103-bed, all private room hospital that includes a network of medical clinics serving Parker County right outside of the DFW Metroplex. The dedicated and experienced medical staff represents more than 31 medical specialties. Their health care services encompass inpatient and outpatient care, and medical, surgical and emergency care, to name a few. The hospital has received numerous awards and recognition, including Press Ganey Summit Award, The Joint Commission’s Top Performer in Key Quality Measures and The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval. They are looking to add an Emergency Department Night Shift Manager.


The Charge Nurse/Shift Manager shall be responsible for planning, supervising, and evaluating the nursing care of essential functions of patients and for correlating the nursing process, the medical plan of care, and policies. Under general supervision, renders professional nursing care of patients of all ages through the use of the Nursing process and the promotion, maintenance, and teaching of health. Supervises the provision of nursing care rendered to patients by RN, PCT and ancillary personnel, assigning and reviewing work. Provides instruction on various techniques. Assist nurse manager in areas delegated. Assist in departmental budgets and staffing.  Represents the department in all aspects of customer service.



Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.


Certifications / Licenses: Must have a valid license to practice professional nursing, Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification, current Advanced Life Support, current Pediatric Advanced Life Support or Emergency Nurses Pediatric Course and current Trauma Nursing Core Course.


Experience: Minimum of three years recent ED experience, prefious charge experience preferred.


Responsibilities include, but not limited to:  managing flow of the ED patients, staff evaluations, assist with staff growth and development, PI project, attend mandatory monthly meetings, work closely with providers, customer service, service recovery, etc.
